Volkswagen is getting ready to produce the Bentley Bentayga SUV.
The Volkswagen Group will spend 500-million euros to expand its factory in Bratislava, Slovakia, which will be in charge of producing the bodies of the new Bentley SUV. The company will add a new car-body production line at the plant by 2017 that will also create hundreds of new jobs. Currently, the plant builds the VW Touareg, Audi Q7 and bodies for the Porsche Cayenne.

According to a Bentley spokesman, the Bentayga bodies will be sent from Slovakia to the British automaker’s factory in Crewe, England for final assembly. In other words, the plant in Bratislava will only supply the raw bodies for Bentley, with everything else taken care of in England.
